Prime Video is considering adapting Sony Playstation’s critically acclaimed God of War video game.

According to Deadline, the streamer is currently in negotiations to adapt the game, whose most recent incarnation was based on Norse mythology, and featured the voice-acting talents of Stargate’s Chris Judge, among others.

The series would come from The Expanse creators Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby and Wheel of Time executive producer and showrunner Rafe Judkins in addition to Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions.

God of War is an action-adventure franchise originally created by David Jaffe at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio. It began in 2005 on PlayStation 2, and has become a flagship title for the PlayStation brand, consisting of ten games across multiple platforms with an eleventh game God of War: Ragnarok, currently in development.

The series follows the bloody adventures of the titular protagonist, Kratos, a Spartan warrior who is also the God of War.

The 2018 game reimagined and revitalized the series, placing its hero, Kratos, in ancient Scandinavia in the realm of Midgard. There Kratos and his young son Atreus set out on a mission to scatter the ashes of Atreus’ recently deceased mother on the highest peak of the nine realms. Along the way, this estranged pair bond and learn more about one other, in addition to encountering a host of colorful ancient Gods and monsters.
