SEASON FINALE
First look photos from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season 3 finale have dropped.
The episode, titled “New Life and New Civilizations” airs on Paramount + on Thursday, Sept. 11, but as the streamer has yet to release any loglines from the episode we’ll just have to guess at what might lie in store for the Enterprise’s crew until then.
The official photos show Captain Pike and Melanie Scrofano’s Batel embarking on a serious away mission. Meanwhile, we get our first glimpse of Scotty in a kilt, Spock cracking a smile, what looks like a chess match between Kirk and Spock (is that a first?), and what looks like a friendly get together of the core characters.
With the show already renewed for a fourth and final season, there’s still a lot of space left to explore for the Enterprise crew. Season 3 promised “an exciting twist on classic Star Trek, [taking] characters both new and beloved to new heights, and diving into thrilling adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy, and mystery, with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek.”
Whatever lies in store in the finale, we can at least be sure the show creators have lived up to their promises this season.
