Netflix offers a punchy trio of entries for August 2025. Wednesday returns for a second season on Aug. 6, with Jenna Ortega’s delightfully dark Wednesday Addams (that’s Addams with 2 D’s — like ‘Padded Cell’) returning to solve a new mystery and navigate the perils and pitfalls of friends, family, and foes.
Meanwhile, August 22’s sees the debut of Long Story Short, a new animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman that centers on a single family but switching focus across multiple generations in time.
Then on August 28, My Life with the Walter Boys returns for Season 2. Expect drama, romance, improbable teens, and horses.

WEDNESDAY SEASON 2 (August 6)
Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await.
This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem.
Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.

LONG STORY SHORT (August 22)
Long Story Short is an animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman about one family, over time. Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.
Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the series features the voice acting talents of Paul Reiser (ELLIOT COOPER), Lisa Edelstein (NAOMI SCHWARTZ), Max Greenfield (YOSHI SCHWOOPER), Ben Feldman (AVI SCHWOOPER), Michaela Dietz (HANNAH SCHWOOPER), Dave Franco (DANNY WEGBREIT), Angelique Cabral (JEN), Abbi Jacobson (SHIRA SCHWOOPER), and Nicole Byer (KENDRA HOOPER).

MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS SEASON 2 (August 28)
After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s love confession and her kiss with Cole, Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family.
But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex – who changed a lot over the summer – isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting).
Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways creep back in and cause drama.
As Jackie gains acceptance in Silver Falls while trying to hold onto her Howard identity, she’s forced to make a choice that could destroy everything she’s worked to rebuild.
