Apple TV+ has released the first teaser and photos for its upcoming 10-episode limited series Cape Fear, a taut psychological horror thriller scheduled to make its global premiere on Friday, June 5, 2026.

The production features a high-profile creative team, including executive producers Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg alongside showrunner and executive producer Nick Antosca.

Amy Adams, Javier Bardem, and Patrick Wilson lead the cast, appearing alongside an ensemble that includes Joe Anders, Lily Collias, Malia Pyles, and CCH Pounder.

The narrative serves as a modern reimagining of the 1991 film directed by Scorsese and the original 1962 feature, both of which were inspired by the novel The Executioners.

The plot focuses on married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden, played by Adams and Wilson, whose lives are disrupted when Max Cady, a notorious killer portrayed by Bardem, is released from prison seeking vengeance.

Produced by UCP and Amblin Television, the series is also executive produced by Alex Hedlund for Eat the Cat, with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey joining Spielberg for Amblin Television.

Following its two-episode debut, the series will release new installments every Friday on Apple TV+ through its conclusion on July 31, 2026.
