Prime Video’s April streaming guide leans into animated fare, with Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun debuting on April 5, followed by the more comedic Kevin, a story about a stray cat who really ought to figure out what it is he wants, on April 20.

However for many, it’s the fifth and final season of The Boys that will draw the most eyes. The show returns for a bloody finale on April 8.

Catch details, trailers, and more on all 3 shows below.

Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun

(Season 1, April 5)

Nippon Sangoku

Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun depicts the near future of Japan, where revolution arose from nuclear war, natural disasters, and corrupt governance, where civilization has collapsed.

The nation has split into three, entering an era of warring states vying for supremacy.

Aoteru Misumi, once a humble local government official, aims for the “reunification of Japan,” rising through the ranks with his vast knowledge and exceptional eloquence.

The Boys

(Season 5, April 8)

Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy), Antony Starr (Homelander) in The Boys on Prime Video

In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims.

Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp.”

Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found.

But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it.

It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen.

Kevin

(Season 1, April 20)

Loosely inspired by a real life break-up and the cat who was caught in the middle, KEVIN is a hilarious and heart-warming story about finding where you belong in the world.

After the unexpected break-up of his human “owners,” Kevin moves into a local pet rescue in Astoria, Queens where a chaotic band of misfit animals will help him to figure out what he really wants out of life.
