Paramount+ has set a premiere date for Season 4 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The show has already been renewed for a fifth and final season, comprising 6 episodes, which have already been filmed.
The series officially returns for a fourth trip around the cosmos on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
New episodes of the 10-episode long season will be available weekly on Thursdays through Thursday, September 24.
However, casting news concerning a couple of iconic OG Star Trek characters, set to make their appearance in the Season 5 finale episode. Thomas Jane (The Expanse) boards the Enterprise as Doctor Leonard “Bones” McCoy. Meanwhile, newcomer Kai Murakami will take on the role of helmsman Hikari Sulu. Executive Producer Akiva Goldsman has hinted that these two iconic characters will encounter Spock (Ethan Peck) and Kirk (Paul Wesley) on the Captain’s first day of command.
But what about Season 4? For now, the streamer is keeping storylines and casting details close to the vest with an official logline teasing the season ahead in the most general of tones:
In season four of the Paramount+ Original Series, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise – led by Captain Christopher Pike – embark on a series of thrilling and emotional adventures across the stars. As they journey to strange new worlds, they will battle inner demons and external threats, encounter colorful new characters, reunite with familiar faces and confront terrifying aliens. Through it all, they strive to embrace a bright, hopeful future.
