Teasing the logline “Will hope await them, or despair?” Alice in Borderland is set crash back onto our screens on Sept. 25, 2025.
The sci-fi / fantasy / thriller / action / romance (you heard us!) returns for a third season that pits our heroes Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) against the mysterious Joker in a new series of fiendish games that will test them to their limits, and beyond.
The Netflix series that predates Squid Game follows a group of strangers who find themselves in a mysterious dimension known as the Borderland, where they are forced to compete in a series of deadly games, themed on the four suits from a deck of cards, in order to to stay alive, and progress to the next stage. Along the way, friendships, hostilities, honor, hope, hatred, and especially love define how each of our survivors choose to live or die in the hostile game arena.
The Season 2 finale saw a core group of the show’s most beloved characters escaping Borderland after Arisu and Usagi managed to defeat the cunning Queen of Hearts in a series of mind games that trolled, not only its players, but fans of the series also.

Netflix teases that in Season 3, after Usagi is abducted and left unconscious by a mysterious scholar obsessed with the afterlife, Arisu returns to the perilous Borderland to save her.
Teaming up with new players, they must face the yet-unseen “Joker” stage in a desperate bid to find a way back to their original world.
In addition to series stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya Season 3 also stars Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, Katsuya Maiguma, Koji Ohkura, Risa Sudou, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Tina Tamashiro, Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, Yugo Mikawa, Joey Iwanaga, and Akana Ikeda, Kento Kaku.
The series is based on the manga of the same name by Haro Aso (and published by Shogakukan). Shinsuke Sato directs a screenplay from Yasuko Kuramitsu and Shinsuke Sato.
Netflix has released 7 new photos from the Season ahead, which we have to share with you in our gallery below. Based on the images, Season 3 presents the most lethal stage of the games yet.
