Netflix’s September slate is officially full. This month the streamer hosts the third season of the long-awaited Japanese survival horror sci-fi series Alice in Borderland, which finds our heroes returning to Borderland for more deadly games at the hands of the nightmare realm’s final boss — the Joker.

Dropping on the same day is Wayward, a new drama series starring Toni Collette (Hereditary, Micky 17) as a creepy camp counsellor with an ambition to “solve the problem of adolescence” one disturbing lesson at a time.

If you’re looking for something similarly horror-themed, but lighter, there’s Haunted Hotel, a new adult animated comedy series from the minds behind Rick and Morty that focuses on the goings on in a — you guessed it — a haunted hotel.

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight also debuts House of Guinness this month, a period drama chronicling (with a dollop of creative license) the fortunes of the famous Guinness family, owners of the Guinness brewery, and heirs to a family fortune.

In addition to Season 2 of Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black, there’s also a new limited series on offer — Black Rabbit, a tense crime drama following two brothers (Jude Law, The Young Pope, as Jake, and Jason Bateman, Ozark, as Vince), who find themselves on the hook for a 20k a week to a criminal gang when Vince’s gambling debts threaten the ownership of Jake’s up-and-coming restaurant.
