The Only Murders podcasters are taking on the Mob this season.
The beloved comedy series returns for a fifth season and murder and mayhem on Sept. 9 with the first 3 episodes of the new season.
Season 5 finds Charles, Oliver, and Mabel reeling from the death of their doorman Lester, who appears to have kicked the bucket under suspicious circumstances. (You may remember how Lester was discovered in the buildings fountain in the Season 4 finale.)
The trio refuse to accept that Lester’s death was anything but a murder, and their ensuing investigation soon plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond — where they uncover a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters and the mysterious residents of the Arconia.
Our intrepid investigators discover a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.
This season sees the return of a slew of familiar faces including series stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez and Michael Cyril Creighton. Special guest stars include Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, and Nathan Lane.
Season 5 sees the addition of Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, Jermaine Fowler and more.
Only Murders in the Building hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin & John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking). Martin & Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith and JJ Philbin.
Only Murders in the Building premieres on Tuesday Sept. 9 on Hulu, with the first 3 episodes of Season 5. New episodes are set to drop weekly thereafter.
