Stranger Things may be winding down on Netflix this year, but it isn’t the end for Eleven, Will, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Max, and the gang.

Series showrunner Eric Robles and Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer are planning a new animated series that will continue the adventures of the characters we have grown to know and love over the years … by rolling back the clock to those adorable first seasons. Aw!

Stranger Things: Tales From 85, set to premiere in 2026, will take place between the events of Seasons 2 and 3, and will see new voice talent taking on the roles of their famous TV series counterparts.

“With animation there’s really no limits,” Ross Duffer says in the first look video below. “Eric and his team can just go wild … and they have.”

Robles promises the new animated series will capture “the magic of Hawkins in a new way,” adding, “get your flashlight, get your backpack because it’s going to be amazing!”

Stranger Things: Tales From 85 stars Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper.

Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips are also set to join the cast.
