Prime Video’s slate offers a mix of genres for July 2026. From the feel-good Legally Blonde prequel Elle, to the mile-a-minute action comedy Ride or Die, starring Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer, there’s probably something here to suit all tastes. Throw in a true crime docuseries, and a Canadian comedy reality series and a Batman animated series returning for its second season, and July is shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s most varied months yet.
Elle (July 1)

Season One of Elle follows Elle Woods before she was a fish-out-of-water at Harvard. We meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices.
Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other.
With each challenge she faces, Elle grows closer to the Elle Woods we know and love today.
All 8 episodes of Elle season 1 drop July 1, 2026. The series has been renewed for season 2.
Murder 101 (July 13)

This docu-series follows the events that happened in a quiet Tennessee town, where a high school sociology class takes on a mystery that has lingered for decades. Led by teacher Alex Campbell, the students of Elizabethton High School begin investigating the Redhead Murders—a series of unsolved killings that once captured headlines across the South before fading from public memory.
What starts as a classroom project soon evolves into a remarkable real-world investigation, as the students uncover new leads, connect long-overlooked clues, and bring fresh attention to victims who were nearly forgotten.
Along the way, they discover that the search for answers is about more than solving a case—it’s about giving a voice to the people at the center of it and proving that determination can come from the most unexpected places.
All 3 episodes of this true crime docu-series drop July 13, 2026.
Ride or Die (July 15)

Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham) who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be an international assassin.
When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together.
It’s a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals at their heels.
