The 2025 Emmy Awards reflected this year’s biggest talking points, with Severance, The Pitt, and Adolescence scooping big wins for their provocative, original, and thoughtful performances, direction, and stories.

Netflix’s buzzy psychological crime drama Adolescence took home 6 awards in the Best Limited Series or Anthology category including Best Series, Best Actor for Stephen Graham, Best Supporting Actor for Owen Cooper, Best supporting Actress for Erin Doherty, Best Writing for Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, and Best Directing for Philip Barantini.

Meanwhile Apple TV+’s fan favorite sci-fi thriller Severance scored wins for Britt Lower in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category, and for Tramell Tillman for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama series.

Noah Wyle scooped the Best Actor in a Drama Series for unflinching medical drama series The Pitt. Co-Star Katherine LaNasa also won for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

On the comedy front cringe comedy The Studio pipped Hacks to the post this year for Best Comedy, with co-creator Seth Rogan taking the award for Best Actor in the same category, along with Best Directing in a Comedy Series. Rogan also won the award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series alongside Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez.

The night wasn’t a complete landslide for The Studio however, with Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder scooping Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards for Hacks.

Disney+’s critically acclaimed Andor took home the award for Best Writing For a Drama Series.
