Prime Video has a hard premiere date for Countdown, a new a new 13 episode series from Derek Haas (the One Chicago franchise on NBC, and the FBI franchise on CBS).

The new drama, starring Jensen Ackles (The Boys, Supernatural) will debut exclusively on Prime on Wednesday, June 25, kicking off with a 3-episode premiere. New episodes are set to follow weekly, leading up to the season finale on Wednesday, September 3. 

The series focuses on LAPD detective Mark Meachum (Ackles), who is ecruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate after an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight.

However, the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions.

Also starring in Countdown are Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, Euphoria), Jessica Camacho (The Flash, Watchmen), Violett Beane (Death and Other Details), Elliot Knight (The Boys), and Uli Latukefu (Young Rock).
