It’s another week of series and season premieres as the fall TV Schedule continues to ramp up for October.

This week CBS adds 3 new shows to the schedule — dramas Sheriff Country and Boston Blue, and new comedy series DMV. These series join NCIS, Fire Country, Watson, and FBI, all returning for new seasons.

Meanwhile, Netflix drops all 8 episodes of the third season of the critically acclaimed The Diplomat, while Apple TV continues its current run of Slow Horses, Invasion and The Morning Show. Prime Video meanwhile inches closer to the finale of Gen V with a final episode scheduled for next week.

All that and our usual slew of regularly scheduled drama on Broadcast and cable too including High Potential, Doc, Only Murders in the Building, Chad Powers, Brilliant Minds, Law & Order, SVU, Murder in a Small Town, and more.

FBI (CBS): Season 8 Premiere “Takedown’ — After a federal judge disappears, a routine investigation takes a dark turn as the team uncovers that the judge had been searching for his missing son on a secluded island on the city’s edge, where authority has crumbled. Meanwhile, reality weighs heavy on Jubal as he takes on a new leadership role. (PHOTOS)

The Neighborhood (CBS): The 8th and final season premiere “Welcome to the New Normals” finds The Johnsons and Butlers facing big changes and unexpected challenges as Tina discovers a new passion. Meanwhile, Malcolm navigates work and family boundaries, while Courtney takes a major step with Marty, and Dave’s tech experiment backfires.

The Voice (NBC): The Battles Premiere. The coaches prepare their artists to go head to head in dueling duets.

Watson (CBS): Season 2 Premiere “A Son in the Oven” — Watson and the fellows spring back into action when Mary’s mother accidentally poisons herself while suffering from a rare form of dementia that is progressing with impossible speed. 9-1-1 (ABC): Season 9, Episode 2 “Spiralling” — As a geostorm ravages Earth, Athena and Hen’s space mission teeters on the edge. On the ground, the 118 battles chaos when technology goes rogue. Mark Consuelos guest stars.

9-1-1: Nashville (ABC): Season 1, Episode 2 “Hell and High Water” — A tornado’s path leads the Station 113 team to an intense rescue at a water tower. Reasonable Doubt (Hulu): Season 3, Episode 6 “No Church in the Wild” — The defense gambles on a risky first witness, dragging Ozzie’s darkest trauma into the light. A family dinner shatter’s Lewis’s perception of everything he thought he knew.

The Diplomat (Netflix): Season 3. All 8 Episodes. Ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want. She just accused Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) of hatching a terrorist plot and admitted she’s after the VP’s job. But now the President is dead, Kate’s husband Hal (Rufus Sewell) may have inadvertently killed him, and Grace Penn is leader of the free world. None of this slows Hal’s campaign to land Kate the vice presidency. Kate steps into a role she never wanted, with a freedom she never expected, an increasingly complicated friendship with Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison (David Gyasi), and an unnerving bond with First Gentleman Todd Penn (Bradley Whitford).

The English Teacher (FX): Season 2, Episode 9 “Lock In” and Episode 10 “Graduation”

“Lock In” — The teachers oversee the school’s overnight lock-in.

“Graduation” — The teachers try to prevent a student prank from ruining graduation.

Law & Order (NBC): Season 25, Episode 4 “Two and Twenty” — A billionaire banker is murdered and the 2-7 must investigate his many clients and employees. Price and Maroun struggle to keep the jury’s focus on the crime and not the victim’s darker side.

Law & Order: SVU (NBC): Season 27, Episode 4 “Clickbait” — When a tween suffers a life-threatening miscarriage, the SVU must unravel a web of online fabrications to identify a suspect. Rollins carefully weighs her career options.

Matlock (CBS): Season 2, Episode 2 “Another Matlock” — While the team is tasked with protecting a witness, Matty and Olympia square off over the Wellbrexa document. Also, Matty and Edwin contemplate whether or not to help Alfie’s father.

Elsbeth (CBS): Season 3, Episode 2 “Doll Day Afternoon” — When a murder investigation at a famous New York toy store spirals into a hostage crisis, Elsbeth must negotiate with Nolan, the hapless ex-con inside. Outside, Captain Wagner clashes with a rival whose reckless tactics could turn the standoff deadly.
