HBO unveiled a new teaser trailer for the Season 3 return of House of the Dragon.
The series returns Sunday, June 21 with an eight-episode third season. The cabler reveals that episodes will air weekly, leading up to the finale on August 9, 2026.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen in bloody and spectacular detail. The trailer teases that the intense sibling rivalry between Aegon and his younger brother, Aemond is about to come to a head. And while Alicent counts the cost of the mounting war, Damon, now seemingly more at peace with the future, is whispering about conquest in Rhaenyra’s ear.
Returning in Season 3 are Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, James Norton, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, Abubakar Salim, Tom Cullen, Tommy Flanagan, Dan Fogler, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane.
Season 3 premieres Sunday, June 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
