The Pitt Season 3 Renewal Comes Ahead of Season 2 Premiere
Critical darling The Pitt is scrubbing in for a third season. The renewal news came during the season two premiere event in Los Angeles last night, with HBO Max Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys, officially announcing the news.
The Emmy-winning medical drama created by R. Scott Gemmill, and starring Noah Wyle, is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.
The show made headlines this week at the Critics Choice Awards, winning in both the Best Drama Series category, and Best Actor category for series lead Noah Wyle.
TV Pulse Magazine called The Pitt compelling TV that a show “that redefines how we view a genre.”
Season 2 cast includes Noah Wyle (Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch), Patrick Ball (Dr. Langdon), Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), and Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi).
The Pitt is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Season 2 premieres Thursday Jan. 8 at at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max.
