Believe it or not, the mustache is officially making its comeback.

Apple TV+ has finally confirmed the premiere date for the fourth season of its global phenomenon, Ted Lasso, putting an end to years of speculation regarding the future of AFC Richmond. Fans can mark their calendars for Wednesday, August 5, 2026, when the new season makes its global debut.

Following the premiere, the streamer will pivot to a weekly release schedule, dropping new episodes every Wednesday until the season finale on October 7. The upcoming chapter promises a significant shift in dynamics as Jason Sudeikis returns to his Emmy-winning role. This time around, Ted heads back to Richmond to face a brand-new professional hurdle: coaching a second-division women’s football team. The season is set to explore the theme of “leaping before looking,” as the squad and their coach navigate uncharted territory and take risks that push them beyond their comfort zones.

The core ensemble remains largely intact, ensuring that the show’s signature chemistry continues. Emmy winners Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein are confirmed to return alongside fan favorites Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. However, the halls of the training facility will also see several new faces. The production has added a significant roster of fresh talent, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, and Rex Hayes, among others.

Behind the scenes, the leadership team is expanding as well. Emmy Award winner Jack Burditt joins the ranks as an executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV+. He joins the established creative powerhouse of Sudeikis, Hunt, Joe Kelly, and Bill Wrubel. Brett Goldstein also continues his dual role as both a writer and executive producer.

For those needing a refresher on the Greyhounds’ journey so far, the first three seasons remain available for streaming on the platform ahead of the August return.

I’m Edward Bullman, and I used to run The Bulldog Edition until it folded. Now I write for TVPulse Magazine, mostly about games and pop culture. I’m a dad trying to keep up with my two kids, who drag me into building Lego forts when I’m not working. I mess around with a telescope to look at stars and play board games with friends when I get the chance. Just here trying to write stuff that makes sense.
