Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Prime Video’s upcoming Tomb Raider series has padded its cast with the addition of Jason Isaacs (The Salt Path, The White Lotus) and Sigourney Weaver (the Avatar franchise, The Mandalorian & Grogu) in key roles, it was revealed today.
Isaacs will play Atlas De Mornay, Lara Croft’s uncle through marriage, with whom she has a contentious relationship over the ownership of the Croft estate. Atlas is a canon character from the game franchise.
Weaver meanwhile, will take on the role of Evelyn Wallis, a mysterious, high-flying woman who is keen to exploit Lara’s talents.

The pair will join Game of Thrones and Steal star Sophie Turner as Lara Croft, in addition to previously announced talent Martin Bobb-Semple as Zip, Bill Paterson as Winston, Jack Bannon as Gerry, John Heffernan as David, Celia Imrie as Francine, and Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed and August Wittgenstein in undisclosed roles.
The new series is based on the Tomb Raider video game franchise, first released in 1996, and is set to follow Lara Croft on high-stakes adventures filled with danger, mystery, and action.

British actress and screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Killing Eve) serves as writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner on the project alongside co-showrunner Chad Hodge (Wayward Pines, The Playboy Club), and Jonathan Van Tulleken (Shōgun, The Outlaws) who is directing and executive producing.
Tomb Raider developers Crystal Dynamics is executive producing alongside Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins through Wells Street Productions, Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson via Story Kitchen, Michael Scheel, and Legendary Television.
