NBC is the first of the ‘Big 4’ Networks to set hard premiere dates for the shows rostered in its Fall primetime schedule.

The Network’s broadcast season officially kicks off on September 17 with The Traitors: New Blood. Hosted by Alan Cumming, the series is set at an ancient castle deep in the Scottish Highlands. Here, contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. However, hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If at the end of the game the remaining Faithful contestants have banished all the Traitors, they share the prize fund, but if a Traitor (or Traitors) is still among them, they win all the money.

But for those looking for scripted dramas and comedies this Fall the real action begins on Monday, September 21 when NBC debuts the first of its new dramas Line of Fire.

From there, the lineup looks solidly dependable, with the One Chicago franchise (Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD) all back on Wednesday, October 7. Thursday nights are dedicated to Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order, airing at 9 pm and 10 pm respectively.

Friday is comedy night with the return of Happy’s Place at 8:30 pm, followed by new comedy series Newlyweds at 9 pm. Starring Téa Leoni and Tim Daly with Jamie Lee Curtis as a recurring guest star, Newlyweds is a later-in-life love story about a free-spirited woman and a buttoned-up professor who marry impetuously after a whirlwind courtship.

Meanwhile, St. Denis Medical and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins both return Mondays, from November 2.

And as previously announced, NBC’s new buzzworthy series The Rockford Files and Sunset P.I. will launch in January and February, respectively.
