HBO debuts Task this Sunday.
The new crime drama is from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby and is set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia. There a string of violent robberies, led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey), have stunned the community, prompting the FBI to set up a task force to investigate and put an end to the crime spree.
The moody new series is headed by Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, and also stars Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox, and Martha Plimpton.
Task is from creator/writer/showrunner/executive producer Brad Ingelsby.
The series premieres on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. Episodes are set to roll out weekly.
