Following on the heel’s of ABC’s earlier renewal announcement today re Abbott Elementary comes the news that light-hearted crime procedural High Potential has scored a Season 2 renewal.

The show, which currently airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/PT stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective Karadec,(Daniel Sunjata).

The series, which has been a ratings success for the Network, is based on the popular French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI).

ABC reports that the winter premiere stood as ABC’s highest Total Viewer (12.90 million) delivery for a drama in over four years – since 12/3/20.

Also starring are Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot. and Judy Reyes as Selena.

High Potential is from ABC Signature. Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg of Goddard Textiles and Todd Harthan serve as executive producers.
