Frasier has once again left the building.
CBS Network’s streaming wing, Paramount+, has cancelled the show after just two seasons.
The rebooted comedy, which we first reviewed on our sister site The Bulldog Edition, in 2023, will not be coming back for a third season.
However, there is some hope for the show’s most avid fans, as producers CBS Studios are intent on shopping Frasier elsewhere. Although unlikely to appear on CBS’ 2025-26 primetime lineup (the Network is currently carrying a full slate) potential candidates include both Prime Video and Hulu.
Both streamers have the original series, which ran from 1993 to 2004, in their libraries.
The series saw Kelsey Gramer returning as Dr. Frasier Crane, who makes a return to Boston following his father’s death. Initially there for a college lecture and to check in on his estranged son Freddy (now played by Jack Cutmore-Scott), the good doctor soon finds reasons to stick around.
Also starring were Nicholas Lyndhurst (Alan), Toks Olagundoye (Olivia), Jess Salgueiro (Eve), and Anders Keith (David).
Frasier came from writers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who executive produced along with Grammer, Jordan McMahon and Tom Russo.
