First look photos from The Boys spin-off Vought Rising have dropped.
The prequel series stars Jensen Ackles (Countdown, The Boys) returning to his role as Solider boy. Aya Cash, who also starred in The Boys as Stormfront, now returns as Clara Vought.
Vought Rising takes place in the 1950’s and follows the early exploits of Soldier Boy and Clara. New photos reveal Mason Dye as Bombsight, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel, and Will Hochman as Torpedo.
The series marks Ackles third project for Prime Video. Action drama Countdown is counting down to its first season finale on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Ackles also starred in Season 3 of The Boys as the season’s main antagonist, in addition to reprising his role as Soldier Boy in a lighthearted Gen V cameo. The actor is also set to appear on Season 3 of CBS’ procedural drama Tracker, alongside Justin Hartley.
“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V,” said executive producer Eric Kripke and series showrunner Paul Grellong in a statement.
Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes also serve as executive producers on the series.
Vought Rising is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
