The Acclaimed Space Drama Returns March 27 With New Episodes

Apple TV+ has officially set the return date for For All Mankind, unveiling the premiere schedule and first-look details for the series’ highly anticipated fifth season. The critically acclaimed space drama will launch its 10-episode fifth season globally on Friday, March 27, debuting with a single episode followed by weekly releases every Friday through May 29.

Season five picks up years after the dramatic Goldilocks asteroid heist, with Happy Valley now transformed into a thriving Martian colony, home to thousands of residents and serving as a launch point for bold new missions pushing further into the solar system. But as Mars grows into something resembling a true society, tensions rise. With Earth’s governments demanding law and order on the Red Planet, friction builds between the settlers who now call Mars home and the world they left behind.

The upcoming season sees the return of a familiar ensemble cast, including Joel Kinnaman, Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, and Wrenn Schmidt. Joining them are several new series regulars, adding fresh dynamics to the ever-expanding story: Mireille Enos (The Killing, Hanna), Costa Ronin (The Americans, Homeland), Sean Kaufman (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Ruby Cruz (Bottoms), and Ines Asserson (Royalteen).

Created by Emmy Award winner Ronald D. Moore alongside Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, For All Mankind continues under Wolpert and Nedivi as showrunners. The series is executive produced by Moore and Maril Davis for Tall Ship Productions, with Kira Snyder, David Weddle, Bradley Thompson, and Seth Edelstein also serving as executive producers. The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Sony Pictures Television.

With its ambitious alternate-history premise and evolving exploration of humanity’s future beyond Earth, For All Mankind has steadily built a devoted audience. Fans looking to catch up can stream all four previous seasons now on Apple TV+, just in time for the next chapter in the race to the stars.
