SEASON 2 PREMIERE
Gentle murder mystery drama Murder in a Small Town returns on Sept. 23 with the Season 2 Premiere “Acts of Murder.”
The episode guest stars Marcia Gay Harden (So Help Me Todd, Code Black) and focuses on the aftermath of a heated argument between a husband and wife, where things get out of control.
Meanwhile, Cassandra wins the final council seat in Gibsons, but Mayor Holman makes Karl Alberg an offer that would interfere with Cassandra’s plans.
Based on the Karl Alberg series by L.R. Wright, and starring Rossif Sutherland (Reign, The Handmaid’s Tale) and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville, Beauty and the Beast), . Murder in a Small Town follows Karl Alberg (Sutherland), who moves to a quiet, coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work.
There he learns that this gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets. Alberg will need to call upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that, even in this seemingly idyllic setting, continue to wash up on his shore. Kreuk stars as Cassandra Lee, a local librarian who becomes Karl’s muse, foil and romantic interest.
“Acts of Murder” airs Tuesday, September 23 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
