CBS is the first Broadcast network out of the gate with premiere dates for the new 2025/26 TV season.
On the slate this year are 4 new dramas. Three are spin-offs: Boston Blue, set in the Blue Bloods universe and starring Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green, Sheriff Country, spun off from Fire Country, and starring Morena Baccarin, and the Yellowstone-themed Y: Marshals (a working title) starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, who leaves the Yellowstone Ranch behind him to join an elite unit of U.S. Marshals.
CBS’ fourth drama is CIA, and stars Lucifer’s Tom Ellis Ellis as a fast-talking, rule-breaking, loose cannon CIA case officer paired with a by-the-book FBI agent. Both CIA and Y: Marshalls are set to hit our screens at Mid-Season.
The four new dramas join 16 returning series for the new season. Returning favorites include Waston (Season 2), Matlock (Season 2), Elsbeth (Season 3), Tracker (Season 3), FBI (Season 8), NCIS (Season 23), NCIS: Origins (Season 2), NCIS: Sydney (Season 3), and Fire Country (Season 4).
Returning comedies include Ghosts (Season 5), and George and Mandy’s First Marriage (Season 2). CBS also plans DMV, a new workplace comedy starring Harriet Dyer and Tim Meadows.
The schedule itself kicks off in October with a series of sneak peeks set on special nights before setting into a regular schedule from October 13, 2025.
