A long time ago (Nov. 2022 to be precise) in a galaxy far, far away Andor Season 2 was said to be officially in the works.
But then came the writer’s strike, and a delayed production slate, and a date for the return of Disney+’s best Star Wars series ever felt about as solid as a Dagobah swamp.
Finally though, Andor is set to return for Season 2. For real this time.
The critically acclaimed series, starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, is a prequel set some 5 years prior to the events of the also critically acclaimed Star Wars movie Rogue One. While Season 1 spanned a year in that time, Season 2 is set to cover the remaining four years leading catching audiences up to the Rogue One timeline.
Spanning 12 new episodes, Season 2 will see the return Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Varada Sethu, Faye Marsay, Elizabeth Dulau, and Forest Whitaker.
New to the series this season are Ben Mendelsohn, and Alan Tudyk as the voice of Rogue One’s K-2SO.
Andor returns to Disney+ on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
