LEARNING TO PLAY BY THE RULES
This next episode of Brilliant Minds pits Nichols against Wolf, as the newly appointed Chief of Bronx Medical struggles to rein in some of Oliver’s more unorthodox (read expensive) patient treatments.
With Josh anxious to balance his expense sheets, and Oliver declaring himself unwilling and unable to treat his patients in any other way, both men are set for a collision course in the form of Ariana Burnett (played by the effervescent Jane Krakowski), the matriarch of the Burnett family — Bronx General’s most generous donors.
The action kicks off when Wolf and Carol are asked to make a house call to check in on Ariana, who has apparently taken a trip down a flight of stairs. However Wolf soon discovers that Ariana has recently — and perhaps erroneously — been diagnosed with Dementia, and is now under a conservatorship.
When Ariana secretly indicates that she is a prisoner in her home, and that her family are poisoning her, Wolf realizes he will have to pull out all the stops to uncover the real truth about her condition and her family’s interests.
Meanwhile, Ericka’s attempts to comprehensively assess the unhoused Sam end in disaster, Dana and Dr. Porter come to an understanding, and Carol goes on a date with the wrong guy.
Just about everyone is struggling to learn how to play by the rules in “Lady Liberty” airing Monday, Oct. 13 at 10 PM on NBC.
