They say you can’t keep a good man down.

That old adage holds true for Dexter Morgan fans today, as Paramount+ gives an official green light to more Dexter: Resurrection.

The streamer announced the writers’ room for Dexter: Resurrection has officially reopened, with Michael C. Hall set to return in his murderous role as everyone’s favorite serial killer in season 2.

Dexter: Resurrection was a continuation of Dexter: New Blood, following the reunion of Dexter Morgan (Hall) and Harrison Morgan (Jack Alcott) as father and son navigated their own darkness in the city that never sleeps.

Season one starred Uma Thurman as Charley, David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera, with James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater.

Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet and David Dastmalchian also guest-starred as Lowell, Mia, Al and Gareth, respectively.

Season one was executive produced by Clyde Phillips, who also served as showrunner, and produced by Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios. Michael C. Hall also served as executive producer along with Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, and Marcos Siega.

All season one episodes are now available to watch on Paramount+ for Premium plan subscribers.
