Starring Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson, the 8-episode Down Cemetary Road debuts on Apple TV+ this October.

The taut new thriller, based on the debut novel of the same name by Slow Horses scribe Mick Herron, follows the aftermath of an explosion in a quiet residential street, and the relationship between a concerned neighbor and the private investigator she hires to look into it.

When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Trafford (Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Thompson). Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead.

The ensemble cast includes Adeel Akhtar (Fool Me Once, Ali & Ava), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Azrael, Culprits), Tom Goodman-Hill (Homebound, The War Below), Darren Boyd (We Might Regret This, The Outlaws), Tom Riley (Dark Heart, Starfish), Adam Godley (The Great, The Prime Minister), Sinead Matthews (Hullraisers, Jellyfish), Ken Nwosu (Black Doves, The Winter King), Fehinti Balogun (Haar, Hideous) and Aiysha Hart (Salvable, Mogul Mowgli).

Down Cemetery Road is written for TV by Morwenna Banks (Slow Horses), who also serves as executive producer alongside Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Tom Nash at 60Forty Films, Emma Thompson, and Mick Herron.

Natalie Bailey (Bay of Fires) serves as lead director for the series.

The 8-episode series will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Wednesday, October 29 followed by new episodes every Wednesday through December 10.
