Oh No! Cassandra and Carl’s relationship is about to hit a rocky patch in Tuesday’s episode of Murder in a Small Town.

The hour is titled “A Touch of Panic” and sees a new man coming between the town’s Chief of Police and our favorite librarian.

No, it’s not Lucas Bryant’s local actor Roger Galbraith, last seen attempting to lure Cassandra away for the weekend. This time the acquaintance is Alberg’s, and his intentions are far more nefarious.

The action kicks off when a friendly local (guest star Devon Sawa) approaches Cassandra to offer construction advice regarding her plans to extend the local library. However when Cassandra meets the man for coffee, she quickly discovers the friendly chat is a setup. What follows is a game of cat and mouse, in which Cassandra, now a captive and with her time running out, leaves a trail of breadcrumbs for Carl and the deputies to find.

Meanwhile Carl must figure out the kidnapper’s motive by correctly identifying him from his own distant past as a young rookie cop.

The episode also sees Andy with troubles of his own when he pulls a driver for driving through a red light, and finds himself facing a sexual harassment accusation. And Holly struggles with an initial dislike of Cassandra.

The “A Touch of Panic” episode of Murder in a Small Town airs Tuesday, Oct 22 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
