Remedy Entertainment has announced that the cast of its upcoming game Control Resonant will appear at San Diego Comic-Con next weekend, offering fans a chance to hear directly from the actors behind the sequel ahead of its September release.
The panel, titled “CONTROL Resonant: Exclusive Updates with Cast Members,” is scheduled for Saturday evening on July 25 at 6:30–7:30 PM PT, in Room 6BCF at the San Diego Convention Center, according to the con’s official schedule. Remedy said the session will feature actors Sean Durrie, who plays Dylan Faden, Matthew Porretta, who plays Dr. Darling, Frankie Kevich, who plays Zoe De Vera, and Courtney Hope, who plays Jesse Faden, discussing their characters and their work on the game.
Control Resonant is the follow-up to Remedy’s 2019 critically acclaimed game Control and is set to launch globally on PlayStation 5 on September 24, following an earlier reveal at a State of Play presentation. Expanding on the playing arena of its predecessor, which centered on Jesse Faden navigating the ever-shifting brutalist headquarters of the FBC (Federal Bureau of Control), the sequel is set both inside the compromised FBC building, and on the streets of Manhattan where paranatural forces have warped the city’s architecture into unstable combat arenas, with Dylan Faden serving as the sole playable character this time.
According to Remedy, Dylan will need to master both his evolving abilities and his shapeshifting weapon, known as the Aberrant, as he confronts Resonant manifestations and hostile forces throughout the city. The developer has said Jesse Faden remains present in the story even though she is no longer playable, with the siblings’ arcs continuing to shape one another. A new character Zoe De Vera will act as Dylan’s earpiece, guiding and assisting him as he navigates an unsettlingly altered city.
The Comic-Con appearance follows a deep dive that Remedy published earlier this year detailing the game’s combat and progression systems, including a mechanic called the Gap, a dreamlike space tied to Dylan’s psyche that players can access to shape their build.
Pre-orders for the game are already open, with a PlayStation 5 Digital Deluxe Edition that includes early access ahead of launch.
Control Resonant is among several major titles Remedy and other studios are releasing in September, a month that also includes new games from Capcom, Nintendo, and Konami.
