A CRISIS OF CONSCIENCE

Mickey’s personal and professional lines blur in Sheriff Country’s upcoming second episode of the new series.

In an hour titled “Firewall” Mickey finds herself investigating a harrowing missing persons case. However, her loyalties are soon divided when she is forced to protect her daughter, whose connection to a crime scene raises some unsettling questions and connections.

Meanwhile, Mickey’s sister, Sharon Leone (Fire Country star Diane Farr), arrives to support her niece during this deeply emotional time.

Sheriff Country, which officially premieres on Oct. 17 with the pilot episode, follows Morena Baccarin’s Mickey Fox, a straight-shooting sheriff in the small rural town of Edgewater, California, and stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone. Mickey must balance the demands of law enforcement with the complexities of motherhood, community politics and a past that won’t stay buried.

Diane Farr is not the only connection to Fire Country this week. Kevin Alejandro, who plays Manny Perez on the action drama series, also directed the episode.

“Firewall” airs Friday, Oct. 24 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+.
