Did you tune in to the premiere of Grosse Point Garden Society last Sunday?
The gentle Whodunit introduced us to 4 well-meaning friends — the uptight Catherine, free-wheeling author Birdie, the newly divorced Brett, struggling to keep up a relationship with his kids, and kindly schoolteacher Alice, who is clearly with the wrong man.
The lives of these unlikely friends intersect at the local garden society, where at some point in a flashforward, they are involved in the burial of a body (and maybe a murder?) in the town’s prize-winning garden.
Who died? And how are our quartet involved? The first episode set up a trio of likely suspects we wouldn’t shed too many tears over: an entitled teen who may have shot his teacher’s dog over a low grade, a jilted revenge-seeking lover whose philandering cost him his wife and career, and a meddling step-dad intent on ruining his step-children’s image of their dad.
Episode 2 sees Birdie growing more invested in her scholarship recipient, Ford, while Alice investigates her dog’s murder. Meanwhile Catherine wrestles with coming clean about her affair, and Brett butts heads with his ex-wife.
And in another flash forward, Birdie seeks help covering up the body.
We’ve got some official photography to share from the episode, which is titled “Pests” below.
Catch it Sunday, March 2 at 10 pm ET/PT on NBC.
