A FIRST LOOK AT SHERIFF COUNTRY

CBS has a spin-off to Fire Country planned for the 2025/26 primetime slate, but if you really can’t wait that long, you can catch a first look at the new series via the Network’s backdoor pilot on April 4.

Just in case you’re not familiar with the term, a backdoor pilot is an episode of a current TV show in which characters and plot for a new spin-off are established.)

That new show is Sheriff Country, starring Morena Baccarin as Bode’s aunt, Sheriff Mickey Fox. The episode will see bode and Mickey investigating the attempted murder of her estranged father, Wes Fox (W. Earl Brown), Mickey’s estranged father and Sharon’s stepfather who runs an illegal marijuana business.

“Dirty Money” was written by Joan Rater and Tony Phelan, and directed by James Strong.

It airs Friday, April 4 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+
