Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Jaz Sinclair and The Rookie’s Lizzie Broadway are the first two names associated with the as yet untitled spin-off series to Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys.
The Boys is described as a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good, the new series will be set in a superhero college, run by Vought, the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages and markets superheroes, as well as covering up their dirty secrets.
The new rated spin-off will explore the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.
Based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys was developed by showrunner Eric Kripke (Supernatural), who also serves as writer and executive producer.
The spin-off is from The Boys writer Craig Rosenberg, with Eric Kripke as showrunner and Executive Producer.
