Squid Game has conquered Neilsen’s streaming chart for the week of Sept. 20, 2021.

The Korean dystopian survival horror amassed 1.9 billion minutes viewed over its 9 episode run. In second place, Lucifer, recently tipped from the top spot, at 860 million minutes over 93 episodes.

In third place is Sex Education.

Squid Game follows 456 desperate contestants from all walks of life who compete with each other in a mysterious and deadly survival game involving multiple rounds of childhood games to win 45.6 billion won prize money that can pull them out of their misery.

The series is Netflix’s sampled debut ever, having reached 142 million accounts in its first 28 days, besting former leader Bridgerton, which held the previous record of 82 million views over the same period.
