NBC has renewed both Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit it was revealed today.
Both Dick Wolf productions will return as part of the Network’s 2025/26 primetime TV slate — Law & Order for Season 25, and Law & Order: SVU for Season 27.
The news comes following the renewal of the One Chicago franchise earlier this week, with Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. all set to return in the fall.
The Network has yet to announce the renewal status of 2024 dramas Brilliant Minds, Found, Grosse Pointe Garden Society, The Hunting Party, The Irrational, and Suits LA.
NBC reveals that combined, both Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU have reached more than 44 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms this season.
Additionally, flagship series Law & Order (+112% vs. last season) and Law & Order: SVU (+5% vs. last season) are having their best seasons on Peacock in total viewers (Live +35 Days).
In its 24th season, Law & Order is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Rick Eid, Pamela Wechsler, Alex Hall and Peter Jankowski.
In its 26th season, Law & Order: SVU is executive produced by Dick Wolf, David Graziano, Julie Martin, Mariska Hargitay, Norberto Barba, Kenneth Brown and Peter Jankowski.
Both shows are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
