Following a slew of renewals news from CBS in recent weeks, the Network has made a decision to do some pruning too.
Two long-running drama series, FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted have been cancelled, it was confirmed today.
Both series were spin-offs of the original Dick Wolf-helmed FBI, which the Network picked up in 2018.
FBI: Most Wanted, a spin-off via backdoor pilot to the original series, was commissioned in 2019, followed by FBI: International in 2021.
FBI: Most Wanted set stories around the Fugitive Task Force, an elite unit that relentlessly pursues and captures the notorious criminals on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list.
Meanwhile FBI: International follow the elite operatives of the FBI’s International Fly Team. Headquartered in Budapest, they travel throughout Europe with the mission of tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens.
This season, FBI: International averages 6.53 million viewers total, a figure down 10% from its Season 3 average.
FBI: Most Wanted meanwhile is averaging approximately 6.5 million viewers total, placing the show down 10% from its Season 5 average.
FBI: International, currently airing its remaining season 4 episodes, and FBI: Most Wanted, airing its sixth, will not rejoin the recently renewed NCIS franchise, Tracker, Elsbeth, Fire Country, Ghosts (which was renewed for two seasons), and Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage as part of CBS’ primetime drama slate for 2025/26.
CBS shows awaiting renewal or cancellation announcements include The Equalizer, The Neighborhood, Poppa’s House, S.W.A.T. and Watson.
