Legion and Parks and Rec. alumna Aubrey Plaza has signed on to Season 2 of HBO’s scathing satire The White Lotus.
She will play Harper Spiller, a woman on vacation with her husband and his friends.
Plaza joins Sopranos vet Michael Imperioli as Dominic Di Grasso, a man traveling with his elderly father and his college-graduate son. Season 1 fan favorite Jennifer Coolidge is also set to return.
The series kicked off season 1 at an exclusive Hawaiian resort, and followed the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees and the idyllic locale itself.
Season 2 will leave Hawaii behind to follow a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property (rumored to be located somewhere in Europe) and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.
The White Lotus is created, written and directed by Mike White; executive produced by White, David Bernad and Nick Hall and co-executive produced by Mark Kamine.
“Mike has once again delivered a quintessential HBO show, and it’s the talk of the town. We were thrilled to hear where he wanted to go next, after closing this epic chapter in Hawaii, and can’t wait to keep following him wherever he takes us,” said Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming.
