April’s new offerings remain remain claimable until May 5, 2025.
RoboCop: Rogue City

Genre: FPS | PS5
This first-person shooter, developed by Teyon and published by Nacon, brings players back to the gritty, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit as the iconic cyborg law enforcer, Alex Murphy. Set between the events of RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3, the game features the return of Peter Weller, who reprises his role as the voice of RoboCop, adding an authentic touch to this nostalgic action experience. Players will wield the powerful Auto-9 and an arsenal of over 20 weapons to take down criminals, with upgradeable cyborg abilities enhancing the gameplay as you progress. While not a blockbuster AAA title, RoboCop: Rogue City has been praised for its faithful adaptation of the franchise’s tone and its satisfying, albeit occasionally uneven, action sequences. It’s a standout addition for fans of ‘80s sci-fi and shooter enthusiasts looking for something unique.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Genre: Third Person Asymmetrical Horror | PS4, PS5
Developed by Sumo Nottingham and published by Gun Interactive, this multiplayer title draws inspiration from the 1974 horror classic. Players can choose to step into the boots of the infamous Slaughter Family—including the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface—or take on the role of their desperate victims. As a victim, the goal is to outsmart and escape the Family using stealth and resourcefulness, while Slaughter Family players hunt down and eliminate their prey. Similar in vein to games like Dead by Daylight, this title offers tense, adrenaline-pumping matches that appeal to horror fans and competitive gamers alike. Its cross-generational availability ensures that both PS5 and PS4 owners can join the gruesome fun.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory

Genre: RPG |PS4
Rounding out April’s diverse trio is Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, a PS4-exclusive JRPG from Bandai Namco. This spin-off of the original Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth follows a new protagonist, Keisuke Amazawa, as he navigates a digital world filled with intrigue and Digimon battles. Framed for a crime he didn’t commit, Keisuke becomes a hacker to clear his name, collecting and evolving Digimon along the way. The game retains the monster-collecting and battling mechanics that fans of the franchise adore, with a deep story and strategic combat system that balances accessibility with depth. While it’s a PS4 title, it’s playable on PS5 via backward compatibility, making it a solid pick for fans of Pokémon-style RPGs or those curious about the Digimon universe—especially with a new installment, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, on the horizon.
Extra and Premium Tiers in April
While the Essential tier games are the focus of this announcement, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have more to look forward to in April. Sony has confirmed that two day-one releases, Blue Prince and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2, will join the Game Catalog for these higher tiers. Blue Prince, an indie architectural adventure with shifting rooms and puzzles, launches on April 10, while Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2, the second part of Don’t Nod’s narrative-driven series, arrives on April 15.
The full Extra and Premium lineup is expected to be revealed around April 9 or April 16, with most titles becoming available on April 22. This staggered release schedule ensures a steady stream of content throughout the month.
What’s Leaving in April?
As new games arrive, some titles will exit the PS Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog. Sony has confirmed that eight games will depart in mid-April (likely April 15), including critically acclaimed indies like Animal Well, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and TVPulse Magazine Dev team favorite Slay the Spire, alongside others such as Tales of Kenzera: Zau and Deliver Us Mars.
Indiana Jones!
Finally, PS players can finally join the Indiana Jones and The Great Circle conversation. The title is finally making its way to PS5 on April 17, four agonising months following the game’s release on Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
Pre-orders grant early access on April 15, digital pre-orders are available now, and physical pre-orders opened March 25. What are you waiting for?
