Your Broadcast Favorites: Renewed or Canceled For 2024/25?

Although there is still some time remaining before 2024’s annual Upfront presentations taking place in May, several Networks are already busy announcing renewals and cancelations ahead of bloodbath week.

Wait! Bloodbath what?

For the uninitiated, the Upfronts generally take place some time between April and May, annually. These presentations, prepared by the Networks, target advertisers, agencies, and of course the press, and are designed to showcase new programming for the upcoming TV year, which kicks off annually over September and October.

Of course, before all the shiny new shows can make their Fall debuts, a “bloodbath week” ensues, in which a series of brutal cancelations of all your favorite shows occurs to make room for the shiny new shows. Or at least that’s the way it often feels.

In recent years Networks have been eager to stem the flow of TV blood by quietly announcing cancelations ahead of time. So, has your show already been quietly axed? Is it already renewed? And what of the fate of “bubble shows” like NCIS: Hawaii on CBS, and Law & Order: Organized Crime on NBC?
